Lotus Temple fulfills it's own metaphore
Just to be clear, this is the much discussed Baha’i House of Worship AKA the Lotus Temple. It is surrounded by 27 acres of garden pasture and also has an adjacent visitors center unseen in both these pictures. Also unseen are the slums and urban sprawl that encroach upon all sides of the temple grounds but are now gradually becoming of their own community volition much nicer, the closer one gets to the temple. One area is now a public park and is in civic reconstruction as a result of the Temples tourist draw. Thus some of the poorest working people in the city are able to have picnics in a well kept wooded area smack dab in the middle of their neighborhood.
